Mont-Tremblant National Park is known for its many water ways located throughout the park. With over four hundred natural lakes and streams and six massive rivers it is the perfect location for water sport enthusiasts; fishing, canoeing, kayaking, pedal boating, etc. Mont-Tremblant National Park has many different options for staying the night, plenty of activities to engage in and a large wildlife presence in the area.

If you are hoping to extend your trip a couple days out in Mont-Tremblant, you are in luck. There are plenty of different options for staying overnight at the park. You could bring your own tent along and setting it up yourself or if you are looking for a different experience, there is always the option of staying the night in a yurt. A yurt is a domed tent-like structure that was originally put to use as living structures by nomads in central Asia. There is also the Huttopia tents. These tents are already set up and ready for you with all the amenities, so you don’t need to worry about setting up your own.

Mont-Tremblant offers a great variety of activities to participate in. There are many different hiking trails within the park. Something special about these trails is that a few of them are kept clear in the wintertime so that they are accessible to everyone; if there is someone that is handicapped in your group, there is a special piece of equipment called the Ski-vel that can be attached to a wheelchair to enable winter-time hikes. Something else unique to this park is the number of old back country roads. There are so many old overgrown roads in the area that they make for great expeditions for the adventurist.

There is a large amount of wildlife that calls the Mont-Tremblant Park home. The park is actually a great spot to view wild wolf packs from afar. There is also a good chance that you will be able to spot a moose or a black bear. To maximize the chance that you will see a wolf or a pack of wolves, visit the park in the winter time. Wolves are easier to spot against the white snow. Make sure to go in the daytime, it is safer and easier to actually see the wolves if you are in good lighting. To make sure you see a moose while out and about, get up a little bit early and keep an eye out during the daybreak in large open areas. When looking for these wild animals, remember to keep a good distance between them and yourself. Your safety is first priority over catching sight of a group of moose or pack of wolves.

There is also the Via ferrata, an activity of hiking and climbing that will let you discover the park’s mountains in a way you could otherwise only dream about. Stop by the visitor’s center to get an idea of everything Mont-Tremblant Park has to offer. The Park is open year round and has something for everyone.
